3 Year Limited Term Instructor Appointment International Baccalaureate K - 12 Instruction

The Faculty of Education in the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a three-year limited term Instructor appointment in International Baccalaureate K-12 Instruction. This appointment will commence July 1, 2021 or as soon as possible there after subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Masters in Education and significant experience with the IB program and with the IB schools located in the Maritimes. The applicant must demonstrate excellence in his/her teaching. Experience teaching in IB schools is required, and preference will be given to candidates with a Science Education background.

We are seeking someone who will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of the IB courses and will provide primary administrative support to the program. The candidate may also be required to do some advising and application review. The successful candidate will teach in the K-12 program and within the IB program. They will supervise and coordinate IB practicum placements and locate internship sites and mentors.

The University of New Brunswick is one of the oldest public universities in Canada. It offers in degrees in more than 60 disciplines encompassing a rangeof academic and professional programs. The Faculty of Education offers graduate and undergraduate programs (both online and face -to-face) fora wide variety of learners and educational contexts. The Faculty is active in international programs and has been highly successful in obtaining research grants and contracts.
