The Faculty of Health Sciences has an opening for one probationary (tenure-track) position in the Addictions Counselling Program. We would welcome candidates with a background in counselling or clinical psychology, or related discipline. The successful candidate will have a track record in research, and the ability to teach in our undergraduate Addictions Counselling program, our Health Sciences graduate programs, and in the Masters of Counselling offered in partnership with the Faculty of Education. This position will commence on July 1, 2023.
A Ph.D. in Psychology or related discipline, a Registered Psychologist in good standing with expertise in assessment, and a commitment to developing and maintaining a program of research. Relevant counselling experience in the area of mental health and/or addictions would be an asset.
The Faculty of Health Sciences currently offers undergraduate and graduate education. Undergraduate programs include Aboriginal Health, Addictions Counselling, Nursing, Public Health and Therapeutic Recreation.
