Academic Vacancy 2022-2023 - Microeconomic Theory

The Department of Economics at the University of Western Ontario invites applications for one limited-term appointment in Economics with a specialization in Microeconomic Theory. Unless otherwise specified, this appointment is effective July 1, 2022 for a one-year term, but an alternate starting date may be arranged. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
For this limited-term appointment, the candidate must have completed a PhD in Economics, and demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching, including the ability to successfully teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in research in microeconomic theory. Preference will be given to the candidate who provides evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level such as positive teaching reviews, teaching awards, or development of new academic courses. The candidate must have excellent oral communication, written communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties:
Duties include course delivery of six half courses per year in the Economics undergraduate and graduate programs, performing research in microeconomic theory, and some administrative duties.
