Associate Dean, Health Programs

Coast Mountain College

Reporting to the Dean, Instruction, the Associate Dean is accountable for supporting all aspects of the portfolio located across CMTN's campuses situated throughout the Northwest region of BC. The salary will be $117,197 per annum plus full benefits and pension.

The Associate Dean ensures the College provides quality educational programming and services. This position is responsible for effective communication between students, staff, faculty, administration and external stakeholders, with an overarching mission to foster a culture that enables CMTN to become the college of choice for experiential place-based learning. As a member of CMTN's administrative team, the Associate Dean will model best practices of instruction in the support of faculty and students.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
• Master's degree in a related field combined with administrative leadership experience, preferably within a post-secondary environment - experience in the healthcare sector is a strong asset;
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in mitigating the barriers and challenges faced by at-risk and Indigenous students in accessing post-secondary education;
• Familiar with experiential, place-based education is an asset;
• Excellent written, verbal and cross-cultural communication skills; and
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including team-building skills
• Demonstrated ability to support others in achieving a common goal and establishing a positive work environment
