Dhillon School of Business (DSB) Business Analytics Term Appointment

University of Lethbridge

The Dhillon School of Business (DSB) invites applications for a 3-year Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. A Term Appointment as an Instructor may be available in lieu of an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position can be either at the Calgary or Lethbridge campus, depending on the candidate’s preference.

Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in business analytics or related field, recent research publications in business analytics or closely related field and experience teaching relevant courses at the post-secondary level will be considered for the appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Applicants with a Master’s degree and significant work experience in analytics, or a Ph.D. in business analytics or a related field but no recent publications in business analytics and/or no previous experience teaching relevant courses at the post-secondary level may be considered for appointment as an Instructor.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach primarily in the areas of business analytics, data science, and statistics using online and face-to-face approaches. The successful candidate will also be expected to help coordinate our MSc (Mgt) business analytics concentration and aid faculty in developing their analytics courses.

We look for a dedicated individual who encourages students to strive for excellence not only in the classroom but in the way they apply their knowledge to their communities and careers. All applicants are thanked in advance for their interest. Only those selected for interviews will be contacted.

The University of Lethbridge (uLethbridge), is a comprehensive and research-intensive university founded on the principles of liberal education where inspired scholars integrate research and creative activity with teaching. Our University’s Blackfoot name is Iniskim, meaning Sacred Buffalo Stone. Founded in 1967, on traditional Blackfoot land, it is a place where student engagement in learning, creative activities, and research takes place every day. With campuses in Lethbridge and Calgary, uLethbridge offers more than 150 undergraduate and 60 graduate programs in the faculties of Arts & Science, Education, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, the Schools of Liberal Education and Graduate Studies, and the Dhillon School of Business, to more than 8,900 students.

The DSB is an AACSB Accredited School with approximately 50 full-time faculty members and roughly 1,700 students in a variety of undergraduate majors. At the graduate level, we currently offer a Master of Science in Management (MSc (Mgt)) degree, with a thesis pathway as well as a project pathway, with the latter focused on business analytics.
