Extended Term Faculty Appointment (ETA), Mechanical Engineering

CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, the Department of Mechanical, Industrial &Aerospace Engineering invites applications for an Extended Term Appointment (ETA) faculty position at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, and a PhD degree in a relevant topic. ETA faculty members will be assigned core undergraduate mechanical and aerospace engineering courses, design courses, and engineering mathematics, and may also be assigned some graduate courses.

Under the provisions of the current CUFA Collective Agreement, the primary responsibility of an ETA is course delivery with an expectation to teach up to seven courses in an academic year. ETAs also supervise students’ project work, and contribute to program administration, including the implementation of CEAB Graduate Attributes. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ETA candidate should be a registered professional engineer in Canada, preferably in Quebec. The initial appointment is for a three-year period with the possibility of reappointment. The position will commence June 1, 2018.
