The Mechanical Engineering Department prepares students to have strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering domain with diverse knowledge and skillsets in the general mechanical engineering field. Design and manufacturing as well as related solid mechanics represent some of the fundamental aspects of mechanical engineering. They are closely interlinked and play a critical role in the creation of products
and systems. Thermal‐fluid science and engineering is a fundamental aspect of mechanical engineering. It plays a critical role in diverse fields, such as energy conversion, sustainability and aerospace. Our mechanical engineering program seeks to offer an outstanding undergraduate educational experience leading our graduates to become engineering practitioners, researchers, and domain leaders.
