Faculty position in Digital Transformation of Work
The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa is seeking applications for one faculty position in Digital Transformation of Work commencing on either July 1, 2020 or January 1st, 2021.
Title of positions and terms:
Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Primary roles will be to undertake high quality research that is capable of publishing in the leading management journals and to engage in the development and delivery of new programs and courses. As a member of the academic staff, the selected candidate will perform, in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities; c) academic service activities; and d) supervision of graduate students.
Wage and benefits package:
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience and typically begins at $ 130,000 for Assistant Professors and $150,000 for Associate Professors. Professorships and Chairs can carry additional stipends, a reduced teaching load, and research funds that are commensurate with rank and experience.
The University of Ottawa provides a complete and generous compensation package which includes long-term disability, basic group life insurance, supplementary health insurance, a University of Ottawa defined benefits pension plan, optional life insurance and a reimbursement of eligible moving expenses. The School also offers a start-up period with a reduced teaching load and start-up funding for research.

Education: Ph.D. in a related discipline
Language: English or French. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to conduct research in English and teach in both languages.
A high-potential research program as demonstrated by articles published in Financial Times 50 journals as well as other quality peer-reviewed journals in the area of management;
Strong teaching competency at the undergraduate, MBA, MSc and/or Ph.D. levels as demonstrated by past teaching evaluations and a presentation given to faculty members and students if invited for an interview;
Experience in graduate student supervision is an asset;
Applicants appointed at the Associate level are expected to be able to demonstrate a track record of success in attracting competitive research funding.
