Certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.

The successful applicant will have proven leadership abilities, including a proven record of research, a demonstrated capacity to collaborate with related disciplines, and demonstrated clinical excellence. They must also have clinical and teaching skills to further the aims of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Infectious Diseases. The applicant will have an important role in creating a research program by adding clinical research expertise and by enhancing existing clinical programs.
