Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Real Estate Management department (REM) in the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) [www.torontomu.ca] invites applications for a Limited Term Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Real Estate Management with a focus on Real Estate Sustainability and Real Estate Development. The appointment shall be effective July 1, 2023 for a one-year term, subject to final budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will engage only in the teaching and service duties of faculty members in the Department while maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across such activities. The candidate will contribute to our undergraduate (BComm) program through teaching, mentoring and supervision of students and facilitating junior scholars.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Economics, Finance, Planning or Real Estate by the appointment date. In addition, the successful candidate must present evidence of:

a demonstrated capacity for teaching excellence at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum;
a commitment to our values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service and teaching, including a demonstrated ability to make learning accessible and inclusive for a diverse student population; and
an ability to contribute to the life of the REM, TRSM, and the University through collegial service.
Note: Limited Term Faculty appointments at TMU may not exceed a combined total of four years. Applicants with prior TMU LTF appointments need to consider this limitation, as it may render them ineligible to apply.
