Master Lecturer Faculty Position in the School of Nursing

The School of Nursing/École des sciences infirmières in the Faculty of Education and Health at Laurentian University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Master Lecturer position. The candidate must have the ability to teach in French and English. The preferred start date is to be determined.
Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree by the start date of the appointment and relevant experience may be an asset. The successful candidate will have the following essential qualifications:
• An advanced degree in Nursing
• Membership or eligibility to the CNO with full rights of practice as a Registered Nurse
• Evidence of the ability to effectively teach in Nursing in French and English
• Evidence of the ability to effectively teach at the undergraduate level with a commitment to pedagogical and academic excellence, promoting a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment, and advancing Laurentian University’s bilingual and tricultural mandates
• Commitment to promoting a diverse, inclusive and vibrant academic and work environment.
• An on-campus presence is expected
In addition to the above, active engagement and participation in teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute through service to the School, Faculty, University, and broader community.
The four-year Baccalauréat en sciences infirmières (BScInf) program offered in French is also nationally accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, and provincially approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario. The School of Nursing/École des sciences infirmières also offers two other programs in French: the B.Sc.Inf. program for Registered Nurses (offered remotely) and a program for Registered Practical Nurses. The School of Nursing has a long history and presence in northern Ontario, and has been preparing people to enter the nursing profession for over 50 years. The four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program offered in English is nationally accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, and provincially approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Laurentian University, located on Atikameksheng Anishnawbek territory in Sudbury, Ontario, serves over 8000 students and is one of two bilingual universities in the province of Ontario. ● A statement of current and prospective teaching interests, teaching approach and experience;
● A statement of how the candidate incorporates research and evidence informed-practice into their teaching;
