Assistant Professor Tenure-Track position in the Department of Psychology, Algoma University, Brampton Campus.

Algoma University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at its Brampton campus, commencing July 1, 2023, or as negotiated. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. in Psychology and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in Social Psychology, Personality, Psychopathology, or Developmental Psychology, with a demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio and a record of teaching excellence. Experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.

Candidates should submit:

● a letter of application

● a current CV

● a statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., examples of peer and/or student evaluations)

● a research plan (up to two single-spaced pages)

● sample publications

● the names, contact information and relationship of five referees (one of whom should be the most recent immediate supervisor)
