The Mathematics and Statistics Department at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics, at the Assistant Professor, level starting 1 July 2021.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a Mathematics major with specializations in either Mathematics or Statistics and minors in Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Statistics.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach both introductory and upper level Mathematics courses, participate in undergraduate student research supervision, maintain an active research program, and engage in collegial service.
Applicants for this position must have, or be nearing completion of, a PhD in Mathematics. Documented experience and expertise in teaching undergraduate courses in Mathematics is required. Experience with and an interest in online course delivery would be an asset. In addition, demonstrated research competency is required; it is expected that the successful candidate will apply for NSERC or other relevant research funding.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Agreement with the Mount Saint Vincent University Faculty Association (please visit www.msvufa.ca). This position is subject to final budgetary approval and will remain open until filled.
