The Department of Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg invites outstanding candidates to apply for a two-year term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Database Theory. Outstanding candidates in other computing areas will be given serious consideration.
The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching. Candidates are expected to have a good background in computer science and will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates will share in the administrative responsibilities of the department and play an active role in serving on thesis examination committees in the department’s M.Sc. program in Applied Computer Science and Society.
Subject to budgetary approval, this position will be effective from August 1, 2019. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
