TERM ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR IN TECHNOLOGY & SKILLED TRADES EDUCATION
The Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a two-year term teaching position (with the possibility of extension) at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor in Technology and Skilled Trades Education. The start date for this position is September 1, 2026, and is subject to final budgetary approval.

The salary range and fringe benefits for this position are defined in the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2025 – 2029 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
Responsibilities will include teaching in the Bachelor of Education in Technology and Skilled Trades Education program, developing and updating courses, and engaging in practicum supervision.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Education degree plus a minimum of a Master’s degree in Education or a related field;
- Evidence of or demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching;
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology and skilled trades curriculum and pedagogical practices;
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent teaching experience.
The ideal candidate should also have:
- A strong record of teaching at the undergraduate level, preferably in a Bachelor of Education degree program;
- Knowledge of UNB’s BEd programs and of New Brunswick Teacher Certification;
- Relevant teaching experience in public school;
- Commitment to equity and accessibility in skilled trades;
- Experience working in diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.
