Digital Marketing Assistant /Associate Professor

Faculty in Marketing Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Marketing Technology and Customer Analytics

Canadian University Dubai invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Marketing Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Marketing Technology and Customer Analytics within the School of Management.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, high quality academic research, curriculum development, student supervision, academic service, industry engagement and the continued development of the School of Management.

The position has a strong interdisciplinary focus, bringing together marketing, customer and consumer analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, marketing technology, digital marketing and data driven decision making.

The anticipated start date is Spring Semester 2026/2027.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, or a closely related discipline, with a strong analytical, artificial intelligence, digital or technology focused specialisation.

The doctoral degree must have been obtained from a university ranked within the top 500 of the QS World University Rankings.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• A strong record of university level teaching effectiveness appropriate to the academic rank

• Research productivity appropriate to the academic rank

• Publications in reputable Scopus indexed journals, commensurate with academic rank

• Evidence of engagement with industry and professional communities

• Experience in curriculum development, student supervision and academic service

• Strong communication, collaboration and student engagement capabilities

Relevant professional certifications are preferred.

Candidates applying at the Associate Professor level should demonstrate appropriate experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching, postgraduate research supervision, scholarly achievement and academic service commensurate with the requirements of the rank.

Experience with graduation project supervision, postgraduate research supervision and AACSB accreditation processes would be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in analytical and programming tools such as Python and R is highly desirable.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation platforms such as Power BI and Tableau is also highly desirable.

Additional relevant technical capabilities may include text mining, image analytics, topic modelling, clustering, social network analysis and other machine learning techniques.

Research Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active and impactful research agenda and publish in reputable peer reviewed academic journals.

Relevant research areas may include marketing and consumer analytics, customer analytics and intelligence, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in marketing, predictive modelling, marketing technology, customer relationship management, marketing automation, digital consumer behaviour, customer experience, e commerce, digital experimentation, social media analytics, omnichannel strategy, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence, customer data and emerging technologies in marketing.

Faculty members are expected to engage with industry and professional communities to support applied research, knowledge exchange and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Deliver high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching within their areas of expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and support the Program Chair or Coordinator in academic operations
  • Ensure that curricula remain aligned with CUD requirements, industry needs and developments within the discipline
  • Maintain current course content, syllabi, learning resources and teaching materials
  • Conduct assessments and grading in a timely and academically rigorous manner
  • Maintain accurate academic and student records
  • Provide regular academic advising, office hours and student support
  • Supervise independent studies, student projects, internships, graduation projects and postgraduate research as appropriate to academic rank
  • Contribute to curriculum evaluation, course development and continuous programme improvement
  • Conduct high quality research and publish in reputable peer reviewed journals
  • Participate in academic governance, faculty meetings, accreditation activities and academic documentation
  • Contribute to AACSB related initiatives where applicable
  • Support student advising, registration and orientation activities
  • Participate in community outreach, industry collaboration, knowledge exchange and professional service
  • Represent Canadian University Dubai at conferences, professional events and relevant external engagements
  • Participate actively in professional development and academic capacity building activities
