Instructor, Bachelor of Agriculture Technology Program (Remote Sensoring)

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver and continuously update curriculum that includes topics around existing and emerging technologies in the agriculture industry:
- Machine control systems, focusing on the installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of agriculture-specific technologies.
- Remote sensing courses, emphasizing the analysis and application of remotely sensed data for agriculture decision-making.
- Sustainable farm businesses and innovation leadership, focusing on integrating technology with sustainable agricultural practices and leadership development within the ag-tech context.
- Coordinate and supervise practicums, focusing on student placement in real-world agriculture technology environments
• Engage in applied research with a focus on agricultural technologies, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
• Foster relationships with industry partners to enhance the educational experience, keep course content relevant and cutting-edge, and identify relevant research priorities.
• Participate in academic and administrative committees as required.
Job Requirements
• A Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience specific to agriculture and technology.
• Prior teaching experience or experience in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver innovative course content and to conduct industry relevant research and extension activities.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential.
