Term Instructor, Department of Applied Computer Science

University of Winnipeg

The Department of Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg invites outstanding candidates to apply for a one-year term appointment at the rank of Instructor in the field of Computer Science. Subject to budgetary approval, this position will commence August 1, 2025. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and in accordance with the University of Winnipeg Faculty Association Collective Agreement. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who self-identify as women or Indigenous persons.

Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Applicants must have demonstrated teaching or professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Web Development and Internet Programming
• Computer Architecture and System Software
• Database Systems and Applications
• Software Development and Data Structures

Exceptional individuals with expertise in related fields will also be considered.

The successful candidate must have a strong record of teaching excellence, including experience instructing large enrollment courses at the post-secondary level. They may be required to teach a variety of courses across the Applied Computer Science curriculum, including both foundational and specialized subject areas. • evidence of teaching effectiveness
