Assistant Teaching Professor, Accounting

Thompson Rivers University

The Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for two, one-year limited term positions to teach a variety of accounting courses depending on an applicant's background.

Ideally, SOBE's Department of Accounting and Finance would like to hire two limited term faculty members who will teach eight courses each over the Fall and Winter Semesters. The contract runs from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 to give adequate time for preparation. Applicants who want to teach fewer courses on a sessional basis may also be considered.

All instruction is face-to-face, so the applicants selected will have to relocate to Kamloops for the year. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, so this is an excellent opportunity for experienced university instructors from across Canada to come to the beautiful British Columbia Interior and enjoy the outdoors including great camping, fishing, hiking, biking, and skiing in close proximity to Vancouver.

The successful candidate should possess:

• MBA or master's degree in accounting.
• Canadian CPA designation is required.
• Potential for superior teaching is required.
• Significant related work experience is preferred.
• Ability to teach in an online environment is preferred.
