Economics – Assistant Professor (Macroeconomics)

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts invites applications for a tenure-track academic position in Applied Macroeconomics at the Assistant Professor rank.

We seek candidates committed to excellence in research and teaching at all levels. While the area of specialization within Applied Macroeconomics is open, preference will be given to candidates with research skills in mathematical and/or econometric modeling. Duties may include teaching core theory courses in macro and quantitative streams at all levels, as well as applied courses within the candidate’s specialty. The successful candidate will hold a completed PhD in economics.

The Department of Economics currently offers several undergraduate and certificate programs and collaborates in graduate programming with the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. The anticipated date of commencement is July 1, 2019.
