Faculty Position/Clinician Educator, Pediatric Genetics/Metabolics

McMaster University

The Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University and McMaster Children's Hospital are seeking two full-time academic physicians to join the Division of Genetics.

The successful candidates will be considered clinician educators and will be expected to share responsibility for education and research, as well as comprehensive clinical genetics services (including metabolic and prenatal services). The McMaster Children’s Hospital and Hamilton Health Sciences Centre serves as a referral centre for the regions of Waterloo-Wellington and Hamilton-Niagara-Haldimand-Brant (LHIN's 3 and 4) serving a community of 2.4 million people, with the most rapidly growing pediatric population in Ontario.

Applicants must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario and should be certified (or eligible for certification) in Medical Genetics by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or in Clinical Genetics by the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists, or equivalent.

The academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the applicant.
