Limited Term Faculty Position in Organizational Behaviour or Strategy

Western University

The Ivey Business School at Western University, London, Ontario seeks a candidate for a Limited Term appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, in the area of Organizational Behaviour or Strategy. This appointment may be for up to 2 years and is potentially renewable.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Management with interests in resiliency, leader character, individual and organizational learning in an VUCA environment, and crisis leadership / leading deep and comprehensive change. The successful candidate will be an internationally recognized scholar in their field of research, as demonstrated by publications in the highest quality academic journals, an active continuing research program, external research funding, scholarly awards, and invited presentations at seminars and major conferences. Expertise in the development of Leader Character is required. Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of strong teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level and supervision of graduate students. The position is available to begin in July 2021, although alternate start dates may be arranged.

The successful candidate will contribute to the research of the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership. The Institute’s mission is to influence individuals, organizations, and societies through the creation and application of new knowledge on leader character. It aims to:
• be a globally leading Institute for research, teaching and outreach for awareness, assessment and development of leader character;
• elevate the importance of character alongside competence in the practice of leadership; and
• develop global citizens who have strength of character, strive to make a difference and contribute to the flourishing of their teams, organizations, communities, and societies.
The Institute is integral to the Ivey Business School’s mission “to develop business leaders who think globally, act strategically, and contribute to the societies within which they operate.” It plays a pivotal role in bringing together an array of leadership-related activities within the School as well as engaging external contributors from industry and academia.
