Probationary (Tenure-Track) Assistant/Associate Professor, Clinical Epidemiologist

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a PhD in epidemiology or a related discipline, evidence of research productivity (peer-reviewed publications), and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will have proven ability to obtain internal and external peer-reviewed grants to support independent research in clinical epidemiology, patient outcomes, clinical research methods and trials, and musculoskeletal conditions. Furthermore, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively to promote and contribute to collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives.
Academic Expectations: The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels. Responsibilities of this position will also include supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate research students. Active participation in research projects, interdisciplinary collaboration on research grants, and serving on committees within the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Surgery will also be expected. Applicants considered at the rank of Associate Professor must have demonstrated the ability to publish in the highest quality academic and subspecialty outlets and be a recognized expert in their field of research. The successful candidate will play an important role in the development of a new master’s program in clinical epidemiology led by the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics .
